FREE STANDING
This is the classic and most popular configuration of the VersaClimber. The base bars are designed to offer optimum stability (even for the heaviest users) and are equipped with a quick levelling system. The floating handrails offer comfort and support during workouts and are useful when using the device as a stepper.
One of the main advantages of having a free standing VersaClimber is that, while it is solid and stable, it can easily be picked up by two people and moved.
WALL-MOUNTING
You can order your VersaClimber as a wall-mounted device. The wall-mounted configuration for the VersaClimber is commonly seen in physiotherapy training rooms and gyms with little space. Attaching your VersaClimber to the wall and floor saves a lot of space in your training room. Tough brackets secure the top of the climber to the wall and the base is bolted into the floor. This means that the base bars and handrails are no longer required, but we advise keeping the handrails if possible, for safety and comfort.
Wall-mounting your climber is a semi-permanent solution – it may be relocated easily.
FLOOR-MOUNTED
Some people want their VersaClimber to be rock solid. This is a common feature of VersaClimber Studios – having many VersaClimbers in one room can prove difficult to navigate and to reduce the risk to trainees, the studio may opt for floor-mounted VersaClimbers. The device can be configured for floor-mounting, using a kit. The base and floating handrails are replaced by a specifically designed structure which offers comfort and stability while ensuring the device will not move during operation.
The base is bolted to the (usually concrete) floor at several points and epoxy resin is used for additional reinforcement. This means that the floor-mounted VersaClimber is an almost permanent fixture – take great care in selecting the layout of your floor-mounted VersaClimbers to avoid the hard work of relocating them!
MOVEABLE/STACKABLE BASES! NEW!
Some gyms and fitness studios offer a blend of training modalities (VersaClimber blends well with a wide variety of different training activities). If you have a training room and you want to blend VersaClimber with your current training exercise, the new moveable/stackable bases have made things a whole lot easier.
The new bases glide on castors – so now you don’t need two people to move your machines. Oversized cam brakes ensure your VersaClimber will not move during operation – release the brake to easily push your VersaClimber to a different part of the room. The new bases are stackable too, which means that a studio full of VersaClimbers can now be stacked (the bases slot into each other) in a corner, saving space and allowing the training room to be used for other classes.
How easy is that?
