When comedian Tracy Morgan puked on the field during a New York Knicks game versus the Miami Heat on Monday, it caused a lot of worry.
With 6:09 remaining in the game at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau called a timeout. The play halt lasted for a number of minutes longer than a typical timeout. Later, the ESPN broadcast clarified that a fan’s vomit on the court was the reason for the delay.
It turns out that Morgan was the fan seated courtside. The 56-year-old celebrity vomited on the hardwood floor and then bled heavily from his nose. He required a wheelchair to be lifted off the ground while being attended to by many medical professionals.
For decades, Morgan, who has diabetes, has struggled with health problems. In 2014, he was also a part of a car accident involving many vehicles. The event caused Morgan to sustain a traumatic brain injury in addition to a number of other health problems that have persisted in his life for years.
The “30 Rock” star frequently attends home games and is a devoted Knicks supporter.
