The young QB CJ Stroud is seen as the future of Texans. After leading the team to a divisional title it was set in stone that CJ will be starting QB for the team.
In a recent interaction with the media, CJ’s mom talked about what she did different to make CJ stand out in the sporting world. She talked about the impact of letting kids choose what they want.
She raised CJ Stroud despite facing personal challenges, including CJ’s father’s incarceration. And always made sure he gets whatever he needs to fulfil his football dream.

CJ Stroud in NFL
The new starting quarterback for the Houston Texans, CJ had a journey from high school standout to NFL sensation in a very short period of time.
Stroud excelled on the field as a senior at Rancho Cucamonga High School, he threw for an impressive 3,878 yards and 47 touchdowns, earning him the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Offensive Player of the Year title.
During his college career with Ohio State, he threw for a staggering 573 yards in a single game.
After that in the 2023 NFL draft, the Houston Texans selected Stroud as the second overall pick. This made him the highest-drafted quarterback in Ohio State’s history.
