According to Dvalishvili, the issue began when O’Malley’s coach, Tim Welch, started shouting instructions that Dvalishvili found distracting and disrespectful. Dvalishvili claimed that Welch’s comments were not just coaching but were intended to provoke and distract him. This led to Dvalishvili shouting back at O’Malley’s corner, asking them to focus on coaching their own fighter.

Dvalishvili’s Explanation

In his explanation, Dvalishvili expressed his frustration with the lack of sportsmanship displayed by O’Malley’s team. He mentioned that this was not the first time he had encountered such behavior from them. Dvalishvili recalled a similar incident during O’Malley’s fight with Aljamain Sterling, where Welch’s comments had also caused a distraction.
