Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly asserted that one NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) representative had allegedly broken NFL’s COVID-19 protocols during a recent in-person visit and has appealed to the league to investigate the matter.
Chiefs accuse NFLPA rep of not wearing a mask during a team meeting last month
The report has been made by Adam Schefter of ESPN, who stated that a union representative from the NFLPA had conducted a meeting with the whole Chiefs squad in October.
It was alleged that the said rep was not wearing a mask during the meet and even blended with the players in close proximity, which violate the protocols the league has implemented for the 2020 season.
As NFLPA staffs have less severe protocols to follow compared to the NFL players and coaches, such interaction with the rep posses high risk of virus contraction for the chiefs players.
The NFL has been very cautious about any breach of the protocols they have implemented on the teams. Recently, Las Vegas Raiders were charged with a $500,000, as well as a draft pick loss for multiple violations of the protocols, along with a $150,000 fine for head coach Jon Gruden.
