Gerard Pique, FC Barcelona stalwart and the ex-boyfriend of Shakira, has been reportedly dating a young PR student named Clara Chia Marti secretly for months, even though he parted ways with the Colombian singer last June.
After long 11 years of relationship, the ‘Waka Waka’ singer and Spanish footballer broke up this year in June. Even though no precise reason is known for the split of the former couple, it seems Gerard has moved on from his past relationship and started dating Clara Chia Marti, a 23-year-old PR student at his production company Kosmos while working on events, with a 12 years of an age gap between them.
“Gerard and Clara have been seeing each other for months. She is a student who also works for him in his office, organizing events,” said a close source of Marti, as per The Sun, “They have been keeping quiet about their relationship but those around them all know what is happening. People have been helping him keep the romance hush-hush and have wiped Clara’s social media accounts so people can’t find photos of her. That alone makes his mates think he is actually quite serious about being with her.”
Pique was spotted with an unknown woman at a Stockholm party, which was part of an event called Brilliant Minds in the month of June. It was predicted that the two started their romance before he parted ways with the Hips Don’t Lie singer.
In 2010, Shakira met the Spanish footballer following his featured video of her hit song “Waka Waka.” Before the separation, the former couple dated for 12 years. They share two kids namely Milan and Sasha.
“We regret to confirm that we are separating,” read a joint statement from Shakira and Pique following their split, “We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect.”
The former couple were living separately for many weeks after Pique was kicked out of their home, according to the Spanish outlet El Periodico.
